Judith Smale is a highly skilled professional with over three decades of experience in leadership, management, best practice and innovation. She thrives on embracing new opportunities and thinking outside the square.

She has worked across many sectors, built effective teams, operated in both established and growth communities and set up new businesses. Her current clients have greatly valued her insights, commitment to detail and strong capacity to deliver.

Consulting practice

Judith’s consulting practice provides a broad range of services to clients including strategic planning, business planning, community development, grant writing, policy analysis, evaluation and review, and facilitation and training.

Roles

Her diverse career has included: working as a community services manager in local government, undertaking a combined management and strategic planning role for a large not for profit, working as a community liaison officer for a large energy company, establishing an international health services training institute while based in Europe, and creating and building her own consulting and training business.

Career

Judith has held senior management positions in the not for profit, corporate and small business sectors and has also worked in state and local government as well as academia. She has also served on a number of boards.

Philosophy

Judith’s overarching ethos is to work alongside her clients to deliver results and to implement approaches that are sustainable in the longer term. 

Qualifications

She has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology), Bachelor of Social Work and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (upgraded).

She has substantial experience in working across different geographical, cultural, sectoral and legal jurisdictions.
